Services Overview
At Theraherd, we believe healing and growth happen naturally when children connect with animals, nature, and play.
Located on our farm in Lewis County, Washington, we offer both therapeutic and developmental programs designed to meet children and families exactly where they are. Our gentle horses, donkeys, mini horses, and goats become trusted partners in each journey toward growth, connection, and positive change.
Individual and Family Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy
We offer one-on-one and family psychotherapy sessions conducted by our licensed therapist in the peaceful setting of our farm. Children and families work alongside our animals to address emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges in a natural, supportive environment.
Weekend Animal-Assisted Therapy Groups for Children
We host small group psychotherapy sessions where children connect with peers while working with our farm animals. These groups combine the benefits of animal-assisted therapy with peer support, helping children build confidence and social skills in a fun, therapeutic setting.
After School Social and Emotional Learning Groups
We offer weekly non-therapeutic afterschool and weekend programs that use positive animal interactions to help children develop essential life skills. Children learn emotional awareness, communication, empathy, and responsibility in safe, educational environment.
